Agency Protocol Seven

4.25 out of 5 stars

This is one of those books that I started listening to without reading anything about it. I don’t think the description would really throw you off the scent of the storyline too much – but it was also fun going into a mystery/thriller like this without knowing basically anything.

I knew that Brian Callanan was narrating it, and he absolutely nailed both Whitefish and the character of Brad Kelso. I love it when you can feel the narrator becoming the main character in a story. And Callanan really took Kelso to another level with this first book.

The story itself was exciting and really kept my attention. I can’t go into too much for fear of spoiling the story but the setting of this one really set it off for me. I love Alaska and I think the combination of remote with the style of writing really took Whitefish to another level.

Overall, a really enjoyable book featuring a great main character that I definitely want to read more from. Myers did a great job creating enough mystery and intrigue that I was trying to guess throughout (and I wasn’t able to figure it out til near the end). A nice combination of thriller and mystery with a few other genres thrown in for good measure.

A Brad Kelso Novel

Former Pathfinder and Tracker (PFT), Brad Kelso, spends most of his time these days building decks and fences, or remodeling bathrooms. In fact, it’s been ten years since his last undercover assignment.

The government agency he used to work for rehires him to locate a killer on the island of Kodiak, Alaska.

Brad’s mission is simple. He must locate the person who murdered his friend twelve years ago…the person the agency calls…Whitefish.

“A combination of a private detective mystery and a cozy mystery. Loved it!”

“Kept me on the edge of my seat. Adventure with a bit of humor tossed in.”
